Mark Foley is not a victim of the Democrats. He's a victim of the leaders of his party who allowed him to get a false sense of security.

The concept that the Democrats are behind the Mark Foley scandal is a farce. It has been noted that a Republican has brought forward the hidden truth, and I praise him for his courage and integrity. However; it is the GOP (Republicans) who now are spinning the issue on the Democrats. However Mark Foley is not a victim, but a predator and his hypocrisy now transparent.

Remember he was very outspoken about his feelings on the subject matter of President Clinton and Monica. This at the same time; using his position to prey upon teenage Pages. We as American citizens, should wake up and regardless of political affiliation; stand up and defend the USA Constitution. By doing so, "No Child Left Behind", can perhaps find means to be fulfilled.

Considering that it was the Republican leadership that sat on the information for anywhere from a few months to a few years the excuses and accusations of OTHER REPUBLICANS are still whizzing around back and forth, and considering that the victims were the kids , Foley is not and never has been a victim. As for the Democrats if you notice they weren't even informed of this Foley folly, saying it was a vast left-wing conspriracy is as laughable as the vast right-wing conspiracy of the 90s. Unless of course they're admitting now that there was one. All the Dems have to do is grow a pair and cease upon this. No More Mr. Nice Guy. It cost us in '02 and 04' . '06 should be time for a CHANGE!!!!

Foley is a victim of the rules of Congress. He followed the unwritten rules of Congress which is not to report any wrong doings of any member of Congress. The problem is that he had information about the bad conduct of another Congressman for 3 years and chose to keep it under the table.
Thank god he was exposed.

Thank God for Mark Foley!!!

At last, Americans cares deeply!!! As someone wrote earlier, it turned out to be penis that stirs up America, but damn it we are awake now.

It is true that under the "new" and "improved" Constitution, George can declare US citizens 'enemy combatants' and whisk them off to parts unknown, but we are determined to know just how far reaching this penis afront to Democracy will go.

Mr. Foley was indeed a closeted GOP Queen but often appeared publically with his 'friend', a male Palm Beach doctor, presumably also with penis.

I expect Mr. Foley's propensity to contribute more than $550,000
to reelect Republicans to Congress, including a $100,000 payoff, I mean payment, this past July, kept many Republicans merely looking at his safe seat in Florida.

I'm sure many Floridians had "access" to his seat.

Right. Match Foley up with Barney Frank and the former governor of New Jersey...

My question is why this gets so much press. How in the world is one loony rep more important than the economy, the war, terrorism, etc.
