Try before you buy.

I feel that this raises the bar for the entertainment industry to put out a higher quality product. Otherwise, people will exploit alternative means to consume their derivative garbage.

It IS illegal and is not something someone can believe to be right or wrong, since it is against the law. I admit to downloading music on occasion, because I am a high school student on a tight budget. Cd's can be expensive at about $20 a pop. That adds up pretty quick, just 5 Cd's can cost around $100. If one of my top favorite bands release a CD I will buy it, but most of the time I have no money so I'll just get it for free. Bands don't make most of their money from Cd's as they do from concerts and merchandise. I think it actually helps get their name out. And if I see a band that sounds good on TV or something I might download their CD to see if they are worth buying, but then I already have the CD and there's no point in buying it anymore.

If 2 human beings in my industry watch an unlawful acquire of a action picture or bootleg replica of a action picture in keeping with day, it may value me over $3,000 a 365 days. and that i'm specific, a minimum of that many do.

Yes, if they were not meant to be there in the first place.
No if the official purpose of them being there is to be downloaded. Does that answer the question?

Yes. If you were the artist, you would not want your hard-work stolen by others to cheap to pay for your work. Suppose your boss decided he wasn't going to pay you, but told you could work at the company for free.
