since he is your best friend, you should tell him your feelings. at least, if he doesnt accepts your love, you can remain as his best friend. neither of the relations would be destroyed.
because there is friendship in love and love in friendship.

Tell him, best friends are the best couple, he may feel the same, but is afraid to tell you because he does't want to lose his best friend.take a chance life is to short,not to be with the one you love.

i agree with shudho.i have passed this situation,we are still best friends now.Love each other much more than lovers.
