I personally don't like tattoos. My husband and I do not have them. But I also realize that each person is different. Why don't you get your butterfly in henna and see if you like it after a week. If you do then you know it is not permanent and will come off. One piece of advice I heard regarding tats is that you should not get them on your ankle it will hurt.

Ask your boyfriend to speak to you approximately it. Be certain to inform him that your love of tattoos has not anything to do together with your ex, that it is some thing you have got desired for a particularly very long time. If he is in any respect fair, he's going to a minimum of suppose approximately it. If he will get too risky approximately some thing so insignificant, then probably you will have to suppose approximately wherein it's you 2 stand, in phrases of a dating? Do you suppose he is "The One?" If you suppose you 2 will likely be in combination ceaselessly, or a minimum of a long time, then I could advocate you do not throw away your dating over a tattoo. If you do not suppose you can be in combination for quite a lot of years, then pass forward and get your tattoo.

Girl, if it's something small and you've always wanted one, go for it. If your boyfriend gets all upset over one little tattoo, when he's got quite a few himself, doesn't that crack a line? Would you really want a man who is more of a 'do what I say, not what I do' guy, who likes to push and shove? Be yourself! Don't let other people, especially guys, push you around. And make sure a tattoo is what you REALLY want, before you go through with it. They are scars for life, and can sometimes trigger memories depending on when you got them.

I love girls with tattoos...big tattoos that is...and if you want one...get one as it is your body...but keep in mind that it is not like anything you buy and can return to the shop...get one with a meaning attached to it for you...it gives it more depth and you are less likely to regret that than just a nice picture...

My personal input is tattoos are very sexy and you are the owner of your body. You decide weather you want them or not, you are an adult and know the consequences. Besides, I think your guy is being very selfish not allowing you to do something u like stigmatizing you, when he has them too.

It is your body, but just remember old women with tattoos look ugly, and you will get older and wished you did not have a faded tattoo on your body which is a reminder of a young girl who put a permanent marker on her body for her older self to hate and wish it was not there. How would you feel right now to see an old faded tattoo on your grandmother, stop and think about it . . .

Tattoos are permanent reminders of temporary feelings.
But, I think if you want it, then get it. The chances of you staying with your boyfriend for the rest of your life are slim and none, so don't let him stop you from doing something that really has no bearing on him anyway.
I myself don't find tattoos all that attractive, but hey, different strokes for different folks.

IT IS YOUR BODY, REPEAT YOUR BODY, you do what you want to do, your boyfriend, friends, family, etc... have no say in what you do. It hurts, I like tattoos, on girls and boys. Get the butterfly on your butt and tell your boyfriend to kiss it.

Personally I dont like the look, but that could be just me.
What you need to ask yourself is, what is more important to you. The tat or the man?
Would you be willing to risk losing him for the tat?
Would you be willing to lose him for the tat?
Would you be willing to forgo the tat for the man?
If the tat is more important then its your choice on what to do. However if he is more important then you need to consider the possibility that he will break up with you over it
