As far as for the rest of the league, it is the Sunday after Labor Day weekend. In regards to the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders, that is still being determined.

Generally it's the 2nd Sunday in September. For one reason or another, it used to start on the 1st sunday and end new years eve weekend (or before depending on the calendar year)
