yep...i've walked in on the middle of the movie and no one was in there. Of course it was the $1.00 show

Depends on the contract with the distributor of the movie. If the distributor can make money without showing the film then the movie will not be shown since the theatre will save money by not dedicating electricity or the manpower.

Depends on the theater, but most places will show it at least for awhile, because a lot of people who work in the projection room are part of a strong union, so they are able to get their work hours regardless of movie sales.
