Not that I care, but am I the only one who knew that Danny Kaye was a screaming homo? Seriously. I have met him and have experienced his gropey hands.

Like the person before me said, Danny Kaye was not in Singin' In The Rain. That was Donald O'Connor.

And yes most people knew of Danny's personal life

Hey, Danny Kaye was not in "Singing in the Rain". It was Debbie Reynolds, Gene Kelley, and someone else, maybe Fred Astaire, but not Danny Kaye. . Well, in those days you did not think about "gay" or I didn't. I was very young when that came out, but it just never dawned on me about that sort of thing. It was not until I found out about Rock Hudson, who I saw personally in Newport Beach, Ca., eating with another man, and later found out that was his boyfriend. He was sitting behind me at the time, and I slipped my mother a note and said "Rock Hudson" is sitting behind us. My dad, who had several drinks, said "Oh, that is not him, he is in Hawaii marrying . . . (can't remember his name), but I am sure Rock Hudson heard us. Oh, my, such is the entertainment business. Now that you said it, I would not doubt it, knowing what I do now about many actors who I was really disappointed upon learning they were really gay.
Seems like they were mostly cowboys or played very manly parts.

That rumor went around for many years. He was just one of many in the entertainment business that kept their homosexual life a secret from the public. Had they come out back then, their careers would have been ruined.

Looking at what he did for great musicals such as Singing in the Rain... one would have to assume he was gay. Straight men just don't dress/dance/etc... like he did. Of course, assuming we're right... they would never had publicized it back... they bulit bigger closets.
Sorry for your unfortunate bad memory of such a great talent.
