I mean I'm scared to take my kids "door to door", from one strange house to the next. What if I get a "trick"(a.k.a gunshot wound to the chest) instead of the treat.

If you are living in an area that has a lot of crime, consider moving, really. It will be better for your kids anyhow...

On the other hand, if you really are worried about that, take them in your car to a different location to go trick or treating. There are many safe communities in the US, probably one near you too :)

Good luck, sorry you have to worry about things like that :(

Take them to a better neighborhood if a lot of people get shot randomly where you live. People have been trick or treating in my neiborhood since they built the first house and nobody has ever been harmed on Halloween. I think you'll find most neiborhoods are very simular.

An incident like that happened somewhere in Asian...Japan, I believe. I could probably find the article if dug around. Anyway, I really don't think that's a big problem unless you're trick-or-treating in a really bad neighborhood.

I know it has been a tradition with Congress for decades to take this too literally. Especially the 'trick' aspect of it, then they 'treat' themselves to OUR money.
