It is true that there is an unusually high proportion of gays in the TV & media business. If so, would this explain why gay practices are being promoted in almost every facet of news or entertainment? All the main 'soaps' seem to have a gay (or two), one of the main TV channels is almost exclusively gay, reality TV is the same. There is a gay correspondent/commentator in most major broad sheets.

Is this disproportionate representation within the media being used to misrepresent the world in which we live. Is it a deliberate attempt to normailse homosexuality, or just coincidence? I read recently (quote) that it is trendy to be gay. I thought you were either hetero, or homo. Are we being told it is a fashion item?

The media are making it their agenda to normalize homosexuality. and yes, the kids in schools in the metropolitan areas aren't cool unless they have a gay friend in their cliche. The gay lobby has successfully infiltrated many schools and large corporations with 'Tolerance training.' It is indeed disproportionate because of this very powerful lobby working the government, the media, and now the institutions of education and getting right down into our work places.

no longer this bollocks back! specific alleged "Christians" are up in palms because of the fact McDonalds is 'advertising the gay schedule' by having a representative on the nationwide gay and Lesbian Chamber of commerce (interior the U. S.). 2.5 million human beings have signed a petition, however the only detectable result seems to have been a tender advance in McDonalds revenues.

I think its a sign of the times. If you look at a cross section of society you are most certainly going to find gay people. Also, the gay agenda must just be a need to not have hate pointed in their direction. Although I myself do dot agree with homosexual actions, in 2006 we need some tolerance in this world, which to some extent TV has played a part.

Regardless whether you feel the media (news) and tv shows are helping the gay agenda (not sure what that agenda is), it is still the power of the people that dictates whats watched and whats not. They call it ratings and if you dont like gay characters on tv dont watch the show...if enough people dont watch they will yank the show. If it is true and they say one in 10 people are gay...unless you are totally friendless and live on an deserted island you have and know gay people (even if they have not come out) being on a deserted island did wonders for Hatch and gays and tv ratings!!!!

I'm interested in what a, "gay" agenda is. (Surely it can't be any worse than a Republican agenda...the former aren't going around trying to actively recruit people for the "cause" or going overseas killing others, last I checked.) Live and let live. No, I reject the lifestyle choice as wrong for me, but if it's right for somebody else, great. If I don't want to see it on television, or via any other media outlet, I'm always free to change the channel. That's what Democracy is all about.

People are people everywhere, and as such have many innate differences culturally, spirtually, and with regard to their sexual orientation. People who come to the conclusion that homosexuality is an acceptable life choice for them shouldn't be criticized or ostracized unless they choose to cause harm to others. They just want the same things that we have and often take for granted, and to be left alone to live lives at their own pace.

Let them be, ignore what the media tells you is, "trendy" and what isn't, and avoid trying to slap labels on people. You'll be happier for it.

Yes, the media is being used to promote the gay agenda. They're also using politics, the legal system, the religious system, the financial system, the economic system. You name it. If you don't support them, you are called racist, prejudiced, unloving, unaccepting, prude, old-fashioned, self-righteous, or whatever. Their agenda is run on aggressiveness and "in your face" tactics.

It IS trendy to be gay, but only among other gays. The majority of the world is and always has been heterosexual and family oriented (father, mother, children). That goes for people as well as animals, fish, fowl and even insects.
