Can horses swim? Can elephants swim also?

Horses can swim even with a rider on their back. Elephants can also swim and love water.

like the others said, yes. It's so cool to see an elephant swim. I know some elephant herders (usually young boys) move them around between close islands by swimming them across on their backs like horses.

Horse can definatley swim i have seen at chingotegue island an acctual place in virginia and elephants are a different story i think they can but not alot of elephants live where there is loads of water

I use to think horses could swim. My mare could not. The first time, she really spooked me; she kept on walking and disappeared. I jumped on the saddle and all you could see of her was her tail floating on top the water. Most the times, yes horses can swim, but not all them, least not the first time. And, most the times elephants can swim too,though they wade more then they swim.

Horses swim. I've never heard of elephants swimming, but they love to wade in the water and shower themselves with their trunks.

yep. horses can swim. elephants also can swim. at least adults. the young ones are still a bit clumsy 4 that. i don't know about young horses thou.
