the lightest colour goes over whole eye lid right up to eyebrow. then get the darkest and do a v. which means close eye do bottom eyelid at eyelashes a line then the other line in the middle (feel with finger the top of eye ball so it looks like a < for left eye when closed and > for right eye that colour can also go under the eye a little to get smoky look. then the middle colour goes on eye lid inner corner to the v then get the lighter colour again and put a little from inner corner up to blend. doing make up artist module at tafe.

It really depends on the look you are going for. Typically I just use the lightest color over the lids up to the eyebrow, then the medium shade just outside of the eyelid and the darkest on the eyelid in a cats eye shape.

It really depends on the shape of your eyes, but personally, I put on the medium shade all over my eyelid. Then I add the darker shade to the outside corners, and blend with the first shade so that there arent's any visible lines. Then, I add a blotch of the lightest color right in the center of the lids. It supposedly makes the illusion of making your eyes look bigger.

That depends on what effect your trying to go for. You should practice at home different styles so you see what you like and depending on where your wearing it to.
You can also play around with putting it on in different parts of your eye like from the outter to the inner part of the eye or more towards the top of they eye just below the eye brow. think of it as a pie you can just do two shades or add 3 or mix. Use different brushes though don't use the little crappy things you get that come with the eyeshadow itself you will have better percision with a brush and they can come very small and in all shapes and sizes. pretend you are a artist and your making a painting.

i apply the lightest shade all over my lid, up to my eyebrow to highlight, then i apply the medium shade in the crease of my eyelid, focusing on the ends, then i apply the darkest shade closest to my eyelashes. go from lightest to darkest, that way if you mess up, you can always wipe it off and start over again.

Apply the lightest ones first then the dark ones and then blend together, if you want you can touch up the light at the end.

Well... It can depend on the shape of your eyes. If you have small eyes then you should try applying the grey just on top of the eyelashes and on the outer rim of your eye area (under the farthest tip of your eyebrow from the bridge of your nose), then highlight the part above your eye lashes with touches of white and darken the outer most rim of your eye area with touches of black. If not, try this: Do the same again with the grey, and on the outer most part of your eye area touch with white and touch the part over the eyelashes with white. Then take the black, and, where there is a fold when your eyes are open, make a line of black but make sure it blends in with the grey a little. And, if your want, you could put a little white under the eyesbrow. But, for a grate look if you're going to a party and you're brave to try this lil one out, try making patches on your eyelids with the black, grey and white. Alternate sequences with whichever looks best! Hope it helps! Hugzy! XXXXX

you put the lightest on the brow bone, the darkest in the crease between your eye and brow bone, then the medium colored tone on your eye lid

It dosen't matter which you apply first, but how you apply it. If you visit my Mary Kay web site, the virtual makeover section has instructions for three color eye shadow application. Different eye shapes different methods of application.
