i like:
any kind of rock (alot), some hiphop (eminem, akon, 50 cent, nelly, e-40, lil jon, ti....), some blues/classical, reggae (Bob marley rocks)
I dont like:
any country ex. shania twain, [except for johnny cash, he's cool]), r&b, pop, most of electronic/ dance [excluding the chemical brothers], vocals, most world, latin.

Be more original, none of the music that everybody's heard (ie. green day/ red hot chili peppers)

Do you like Audioslave? They are great. I also like Tool, The White Stripes, Velvet Revolver, Jet, Buck Cherry, and Shinedown. All rock music! Also, if you like reggae, check out Ziggy Marley's music (Bob's son). And some great blues music is anything by Stevie Ray Vaughn. He was so awesome.

I recommend The Shins, My Morning Jacket, Velvet Underground, The White Stripes, Annie B. of Shut Up Marie, Interpol, The Mountain Goats, Elliot Smith, Jet, Seether, Three Days Grace, Edgewater, The Dandy Warhols, & Rasputina (a little different, not a rock band, sort of cello chamber goth.) You also have you're classics: The Ramones, The Clash, The Rolling Stones, you know, the list goes on. You might like some of this or you may not. Best of luck in your musical search.

If you like Chemical Brothers (I do too) try Prodigy - they are hot! Also, have to agree Stevie Ray Vaughn is super to mellow out to. Check out some older stuff that is ageless like Montrose or Led Zepplin. Of course Metallica is a standard, Black Label Society is rockin' kind of southern rock. Dangerous Toys, ToraTora, Bang Tango - all three are jammin 1980's rock. Love some new age stuff - William Ackerman, Michael Hedges...try a Windham Hill sampler like the acoustical CD of Sanctuary...
