Giggle then leave the area pronto.
One of my children will call us all over and fart and gets a big kick out of that. Disgusting stuff!
I rarely fart, like most people it's something that happens while I sleep as the body relaxes.
Men and boys seem to be more amused by farting. I tell you if a woman farts in a public restroom it's stall lock down until the air clears.
Weird you can burp and say a quick "excuse me" and it's no biggie, but a fart because it comes from the butt is considered disgusting. It's all air!

If its quiet.. descreetly walk away.. removing myself from the area. Ive never let out a loud fart in front of people though. If I did, Id probably turn completley red and faint from embarassment. Girls get ragged on and made fun of for farts while men have fart competions and laugh about it. Sick!

look around REALLY embarrassed, and look as if u are very upset and are about to cry. the others are bound to feel sorry for you!
or you could just smile and imitate the sound of a fart with your mouth, or armpit, and make it look like the first one was also an artificial fart!
psss...none of this works if your fart was STINKY, though!

It would depend on who it is and where I am...if it's infront of a family member or close friend I'd let it rip and and laugh about it and ask if the other person (or people) had seen the damn bullfrog that just hopped acrossed the floor.

I cough and act like that was what they heard or act like it was the chair or something. If its my significant other i say excuse me. If its a stranger i will do all but say excuse me that is a sign of guilt.

I usually turn abruptly towards the closest person and say "you hog!" lol!!! I do it to my girl all the time! Waft one in the supermarket and give her a dirty look!
