Well as far as part prices go... you will need the head gasket..I reccomend using a honda part. It is about 40 dollars. You will also need an intake gasket, and a valve cover gasket...which is about another 50 dollars. But before you replace all of that you need to find out what it is that caused the overheating and fix that problem or you will blow the head gasket again...

When you pull the head, you would be wise to get a head set (about $50-60) because you will need the intake and exhaust gaskets whether or not you are reassembling the engine with the same head that came off. I take it that it is a D-15/16B engine...

The best way to tell if you have a cracked head is by doing a cylinder leakdown test before disassembly. The only way to tell if the head is cracked and you only blew the gasket is to have the head pressure tested at a machine shop after removal.

many places will do an exchange on a head for $300-400, but if you need to replace the one you have, it may be wise to do the mods you want (magnaport, 3-5 angle valve job, better valves/springs/retainers) while the engine is apart. No sense in tearing it down twice.

Do the job once, do the job right.
