i would never have thought so previously, but since i joined the ambulance service i have noticed that we get more strange call outs and attempted suicides when there is a full moon.
so maybe there is some truth in it

That's not a drive, Honey, that's a short walk! People who notice the full moon most are already a little round the bend, and I am including myself here.

Have you ever done a moon dance? Stand in the full moon's light and contemplate your shadow? Go out and look at the neighborhood you think you know by the light of the full moon, and see how mysterious it looks? Ever been camping in a wooded area under the full moon, and noted the way the animals behave?

Enjoy the Moon Goddess; she is our best friend.

Yes, if you believe. Or A good excuse to escape from our responsebility being crazy. At least once a while we have opportunity to say ha ha ha its not me, its the full moon.
I think full moon should happen more frequently.
I believe we(human beings) like to connect things. We like to find the reasons. We use all the means, to escape from our responsebility.watch out we are talking about people, not any thing else(not about ocean, not about trees, not about animals etc.).
I believe all existence is helping to everything to grow & blossom.
I believe existance is only interested in growth & flowering, the unique interest.
If one is growing & flowering being crazy, Yes, full moon drive crazy.
If this crazyness is distructive, then full moon is not responsible.
It can be any thing, It can be any thing what ever, but sure not full moon.
How such a beautiful moon, especially full moon can drive crazy.
This is the moment to fall in love, to get lost in it. This is the moment to feel, to feel the beauty, to feel the silence, to feel the infinite, to feel which is beyond words, to feel which is unexplainable, to feel the celebration all around, this is the moment to watch trees dancing, a wind playing music, A cool breeze longing to hug you. This is the moment We feel, first time the life. This is the moment when one realizes until now he was crazy, now he has come back home.
Yes, full moon drives crazy. And its bliss to be crazy with such a beauty.

Lets go out, to feel this bliss. from our room we will be not able to
feel at all.
lets go crazy together, that togetherness, where all deffrences of mind disolve into oneness.

With all my love

I've found that when I work nights and theres a full moon, the patients with dementia seem to be more unsettled than usual. So yes I think a full moon does affect some people, wether it drives them crazy or not I don't know.

Scientists will tell you that it doesn't. I remember working years and years ago with a guy who was afectionately known as Loopy Darnell by the rest of the staff. It must be said that he was never the brightest star in the sky at the best of times. When the moon was full we had to be really carefull not to upset him because he would pull really weird stunts to get his own back. The next day he wouldn't remember any of it and would look totally bemused if confronted about them.

Yes, definitely. Notice that the words lunatic and luny/loony are similar to luna (moon)? I think a lot of people's behavior is affected by full moons. They act a lot stranger than usual.

And usually the real weirdos tend to come out on full moons.

full moon is known to have some effects on people
more babies born than on other days
crazy people more tensed and agitated
problems with sleep
etc
but "driving people crazy" would be an exageration I think

strange things happen on full moons,
more murders are commited and crimes in genral

as well as more babys are born.

but also it is no coinsidence that the word we use for crazy is looney. and move ments of the moon are luna!

the moon has a tremendus amount of power on the earth it controlles the tides for exsample and the human body is made up of mostly water so i beleave it must have some effect even if it is very small!

Not that i enjoy bubble popping but heres the truth.
it goes way back to olden times before streetlighting was common, i can see some of you are way ahead of me , in times when the moon was full there was simply more light at night and therefore more people who were already crazy, ventured out to cause mayhem. lunatics did come from the term lunar cycle but it was just early attempts to strike fear into the heart of the people. its not ghosts or goblins its the unconcious mind, we're all afraid of the dark inside ourselves.
remember the halloween story where a kid in america bit into an apple he was given when trick or treating and it had a razor blade in it. that NEVER happened but it made people scared enough not to send their kids out unattended.

i did an internship at university of new mexico mental health department and i asked the same question to the professional counselors there. they admitted that during times of full moons that domestic violence, drug overdoses, hospital admissions, personal injuries and suicides go up. professionally, they stopped short of saying it was the moon's effect (called lunacy, lunatic). some say because the moon has such a profound effect on the earths oceans (all water) that humans are effected also because we are 90% water. i think that the moon has been with us humans since our beginnings. other things on this earth (living and non-living) are effected by the moon, so why not us?
