I have a video tuner, which can recieve digital/analog signals through one input.
would it work if I connect analog(cable) and digital(hd antenna) into the spliter and the true input into the tuner?

NO(bad idea)! If you have only the one input to work with they make switches for the application you are describing. The switch will allow you to use push-buttons to select either cable or the hd antenna. Radioshack will carry the device. With the splitter all the devices are interconnected and interference between devices would occur.

For sure. I have dish on the out put I have a splitter on in reverse. The main feed goes from the outside cable to the converter box , on the output from the converter box cable I put a 2 way splitter (the input side) on one of the outputs I put one short cable on and feed it to the TV input. On the other output I run back down into the basement and up through to my office an attach it to the input on my office TV.
The only catch is i have to go into the bedroom to change channels but other wise i get two for one without a second cable box. good luck
