I'm not sure what you mean by top embossing....there is dry embossing which you do with a stencil and an embossing tool or heat embossing which you do with embossing ink, embossing powder and a heat gun. If I knew for sure which one you were interested in, I could give you some tips. For a beautiful, artistic looking card, take a sheet of white card stock and create a colllage on it using torn bits of colored mulberry or rice paper or tissue paper and rubber cement ( it creates a bond without wrinkling or warping the paper ) Use a gold glitter glue tube and create a random pattern all over the top of the collage.Once your cardstock dry and is filled in,cut it into 1 1/2 " squares, then mat each square with a 1 3/4" square of a coordinating color of card stock. Mount on one more color of cardstock, 2" square. Then mount 4 or 9 of these squares ( depending on how large a card you want to make) onto a square piece of black cardstock then mount onto a square white card leaving a slight white border showing around the black. Stamp some black cardstock with Get Well in embossing ink and sprinkle on some gold embossing powder ( shake off all excess ) and heat until the powder melts. Now trim into a rectangle so it only has a small border around the lettering, mount onto a slightly larger rectangle of white and then one more slightly larger rectangle of a color already in the card. Mount with foam sticky dots in the lower right hand corner or the card. I just made a bunch of these cards and they look great.

First, you need an embossing kit, then, if you google "card inspiration", you will find lots of cards you can incorporate embossing into. When it comes to using paper in your crafts, my personal favourite for cards is Handmade coloured paper. You can either make this, or buy it in packs of 20 at your local Newsagent or Safeway.

take a thick paper and fold it in the shape of a card. then inside tha card on the left hand side draw you(boy/girl) giving something and on the right hand side draw the person to whom u r wishing accepting something. color them. now make a hole from where they are giving and where they are accepting. take a wollen thread or any silky thick thread and it should be longer than the card. make a gift/flowers cutting and pierce a hole through it and pass the thread. now pass two ends of the thread through the holes holes and make a knot behind on both sides. when the card is opened the gift/flowers can be moved from your hand to the recievers hand.
