I don't indulge in it .But yes it should be.The money being spent busting, court cost and time, housing in jails could go to better things.Like health care, education, etc.

Marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes but America doesn't profit from Marijuana even if it was legal the best weed would be imported. It's only illegal because of economics and racism. Legal or not I'm not gonna stop and the state will see me in a bag before they see me in court again.

In thinking about any activity we should weigh the benefits of freedom with the costs of potential harm to individuals and society. Marijuana is simply not that harmful (indeed it has certain medicinal benefits in some circumstances) to deny people the freedom to use it. It is certainly less harmful than alcohol and cigarettes, perhaps even high-fat ice cream over the years, and we definitely don't want to outlaw that... (I should note that my support of marijuana legalization holds only for marijuana and NOT most other drugs, that are harmful and addictive and thus hurt individuals and societies more in permitting them).

I think it should, but I can't figure this out. Marijuana for medical purposes is allowed in California, but Federal officials will arrest you in California because the federal law dos not allow the use or sale of marijuana for any reason.

Sure, why not? Especially for the people who really can benefit from it, such as eye impairments, glaucoma, and it can be taxed so govt. can con troll it and also benefit from it also. Just as long as no one abuses it. But that's A fat chance here in the good ol' U. S. of A.!!

yes, and then we'll tax the crap out of marijuana smokers, i think its actually better for someone to be smoking pot than cigarettes. and well why should mary-jane be banned if alcohol is legal. there is probably more potential damage caused by drinking alcohol than smoking pot.
sooo smoke up brothers.

Yes, its only illegal because the U.S. Goverment cant make money on it if people grow it. I think it should be legal, and the goverment could even put a tax on it and it would ok with me.

ALL drugs should be legal. Price would come down and less people would have to commit crime to pay for them.
