I am still and I have been with my husband for 12 years. I just think it is more of a matter of respect. He should respect me enough to not check out those women. Of course he still can, but for GODS SAKE BE DESCREET!!!

I am jealous! I always joke and say that the first three commandments in the Hebrew tradition apply to women, not God, because that's the only way to get along with us!!!
If I'm with someone, he needs to check other women out unobtrusively. He needs to be attentive toward me THE ENTIRE TIME we're out, or it destroys my desire for him sexually. If I see him, tongue hanging out, eyes agog, salivating over some other female, or even with head turned, busy watching a family or trying to see what other people are eating on their plates, etc., I am no longer interested and through booking. He may as well sleep alone for a few weeks until I get enough attention from him to get my 'buzz' back.
He also needs to NOT do anything extremely silly or stupid looking, EVER, so that, again, my image of him as a sex object isn't compromised.
The source of all this is my dad. An 'old world' type of guy, he gave you (or at least appeared to) his undivided attention and treated you as if you were the Queen of England, Scotland and Wales. He did this effortlessly, and was a perfect gentleman, completely manly, and just a general dreamboat/prince.
I'd just as soon rather not go out with someone if I've got to feel like it's just going to be "boys' night out' with me along for the ride.

To be honest, I still get jealous after more than 1 year of being with my boyfriend. I know he wouldn't be with me if he didn't find me attractive or whatnot. I make up this competition with other girls in my head [for lack of a better term]. It's low self esteem in my case. I just feel like if there's a girl 10000x more attractive than me, then I have to keep a close watch on her [and on my bf], though i know for a fact he won't do anything with them. It's just a mental habit.

Hey, have you ever heard that men are wired to look, they have to look...they are visual beasts..they must look. But looking and touching are too different things. Looking is okay but touching would mean you commited a sin. Its like temptation, you can be tempted and oggle all you want but if you touch you committed a sin. So if I were you, I wouldnt be so concern but it makes you wonder. Yeah, we get jealous but whats to be jealous over. You are married to him right ?...He comes home to you right?...Just remember that the next time you see him talking to a female or looking at the female.
