Me and my friends always debate about this and the music isn't directed to white people, should we listen?

Who cares if they do or not. I bet it doesn't make all the rappers mad when they get all the money from all the sales to the white kids. If you like it listen to it. Hell if black people listened to rock or country would you get mad? I wouln't so I doubt they do.

Personally Rap drives me up the wall, but why would Black people get mad when White people enjoy music invented by Blacks? If they do, well then don't play to White audiences, but it won't stop Whites from enjoying Black music. Motown was entirely Black, I wish Detroit music was still around

My boyfriend is white and I'm hispanic. I always felt that it was ok for me or my family to listen to rap music because nobody cares but that my boyfriend couldn't. It's funny but when he does it...it just looks wierd and people stare. What a terrible world we live in. We both gave up on rap because we hit 30 and it is totally frowned upon. Thankfully us old folks still have heavy metal.

The Beastie Boys have been around for twenty years and have outsold most other hiphop acts besides the Fugees, Outkast and the Black-eyed Peas.

I doubt most of them have a problem with whites apprecating their music.I think one thing that might bother some black people and sometimes it even bothers me, is when white people try to behave like the stereotypical suburban "hood" African American male.

Do they? If so, they'd hate Eminem even more. he's a white rapper! I don't see the problem though, with whites listening to rap.

no, just like white inbred rednecks don't get mad when black people listen to country music... on second thought, maybe they do get mad! a better analogy might be, rich smart people don't get mad when poor dumb people listen to classical music.
