Chlorox is the brand name for a solution of sodium hypochlorite.
It is an oxidizing compound, used for bacterial disinfection and for removal of stains.

Brake fluid is based on polyglycol ethers with terminal hydroxyl (alcohol) groups.

You would expect the reaction to lead to a mixture of products.

Alcohols are oxidized to aldehydes, ketones, and acids, and eventually to CO2.

Some of the acids produced when polyglycols are oxidized are similar to oxalic acid.
