I need to purchase a round trip ticket from Redding, CA. to Seattle Washington. I've looked at the usual sites, Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire, Cheaptickets, Priceline. Does anyone know of other sites that offer really good airfare rates? I'm 7002 miles short for this trip with my air miles. It appears to be less expensive to purchase the air fare over buying air miles. Thanks!

Not everything is cheapest online. Try a Travel Agent. So many think "Online is always cheaper". Well in certain times this is a very bad and potentially costly misunderstanding.

I've found that usually the airline is the cheapest online. I use Orbitz or travelocity, and check prices, then I pick the airline of choice and see what the price is on their website. Usually the same, less the fee that Orbitz or Travelocity charges, but sometimes may be much less and more options are given.

Have you thought of travelling by train? The Amtrak "Starlight Express" runs between Redding and Seattle.

Southwest Airlines often has the cheapest flights and you can only book their flights directly from them. Their web site is:
