Yes...I think it has to do with acceptance. Like you have not come to a point where you accept the fact that they're gone. Like their death was a shock to you. I've had dreams like that with my grandmother (I'm usually scared of dreaming of dead people) we were talking and laughing like normal and as soon as I woke up I reached for the phone to go call her. Then it kicked in...she's dead...that was just weird...it's like I didn't remember she had died even though the funeral had passed several months...weird.

yes... this happened to me when my friend Dan died... i had a dream the day before i found out he was dead in wich we were in jail together and he was very sick... the dream was very vivid and everything was black and white exept for me... in the end the warden came and let me out and not dan i argued and argued that we did the same crime and he should get out too... but the warden still said that it "was not his time to be released"... i asked when he would get out and the warden said "no time soon" and started laughing while the cell door slammed shut and the cell got further and further away until it was gone... he died the night i had that dream
I was really depressed because in the news paper the paramedics said that when they found his body "there were empty pill bottles strewn nearby" and "it appeared lto be an intentional overdose." No one wanted to believe it was suicide... he would never do that. a couple weeks after the funeral i had another dream where he came to visit me at my work and half way through the dream i remembered that he was dead... i was confused and told him i thought he was dead and he said plain as day "My body lay but still i roam" then he warned me to quit smoking and dissapeared three months after the funeral i went to visit his mom and she showed me the toxicology reports. He did not have any of the drugs in his system and had died from pneumonia caused by bronchitis which he got from smoking. i swear to g that that is a true story

all of your senses are available to you in your dreams. you can completely perceive a dead person as well as you can a living person when you are awake. whether you are sleeping it is only the brain that perceives. i have actually been able to determine when i an dreaming. and explained to strangers that became friends, what they really were and i tell them that i will try to comeback and make them alive again. i also wonder why if our dreams are our own words that we create for others in our dreams, how is it possible that i can be surprised at their words or even learn something i didn't know before. why can i speak perfect, well not perfect, but certainly everything i learned in college about german, but can speak nearly nothing in real life.

Communicating with the dead in dreams is not unusual. It is a way of fulfilling a need...perhaps you had unfinished business with the person, or you want to connect with them emotionally because when they were alive you didn't. There are a lot of reasons why, but without knowing someones "case" history it is hard to be specific.

Yes, it is a way for that person to communicate to you when they are on the other side. There is no need to worry they are letting you know that they are ok and are going to continue to think of you. They are not trying to scare you. They just want peace at making you at ease. Talk to them tell them you love and miss them that will be a reward to them.

Sounds like you have unfinished business with that person! Next time you dream it make a decision to tell them whatever it is that you need to finish up with them. You will probably stop dreaming about them! Best wishes!

i dreamt that i saw my grandmother a short while after she passed. in the dream i knew she was dead. i ran after her and caught up. i told her, through tears, that i loved her so much. she sempt to be in a hurry. like she was not allowed to talk to me.i can't call it a dream, cause when i awoke, i felt peaceful.i hadn't felt that since she had died. i was sad, but glad at the same time. i got to see her again.there is communication always.life never ends.

I have! It's as if I'm wishing so hard for them to come back to life. It's weird, but it makes for a very pleasant and nostalgic dream.
