St Louis has a fantastic zoo and it is free to get in. Most museums are as well except for the special exhibit areas. The arch is cool as is the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour - the tour is also free. We have Six Flags during spring through fall (right now it is the Fright Fest there). Downtown on the Landing - at the Mississippi River - there are lots of clubs where most of the time you can catch a great live blues, jazz, or rock group. We have the new stadium (I loved the old one, but this one is cool too), 2 outside ampitheaters (one that puts on musicals like "Annie" and "Cats" and the other brings in top entertainment groups), Live theatre productions at the Fabulous Fox as well as several other theaters that have awesome entertianment as well, night spots for young singles, great restaurants, lots more stuff but hey I have to let others have room too!

I live in St louis now and Hate it. I grew up in Chicago and I agree it to be the best city in the Midwest. Everything is very accessible and there is a TON of things to see, 2 zoos, festivals, 6 pro sports teams, the food is excellent, and probably about a dozen or so musems.

I live in Chicago and we have a terrific skyline, tons of museums and fabulous food.

But my favorite place to go in the south was Atlanta... an incredibly clean and efficient city (although I must say, their population grew so fast, their interstate system couldn't keep up so driving on the freeways can be a bit harrowing).

But the city is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the MARTA transit system was a breeze to use. I loved it...

YES, ATLANTA!!!
