The Flint Hills--one of my all-time favorite places! I love driving up K-177 in the Spring through these trapezoid-shaped hills covered with tallgrass prairie. William Least Heat-Moon wrote an excellent book, "PrairyErth," about this region after wandering around Chase County on foot.

I live in Kansas. I get so tired of hearing- Dorothy and Toto right? You have cattle there ? Are you near Kansas City ? One time I would like to hear- I love the beaches in Kansas or Kansas has beautiful scenery. Instead I get, there is a lot of flat ground in Kansas, I drove through ONCE. Have you seen a Tornado? Needless to say I am moving out of state soon. I hate Kansas....but you can't help where you were born!
