This is my first homecoming, and I'm not sure what to wear. I don't really want to have to wear a tux, becuase of the cost and after all homecoming is a semi-formal dance. What do I wear to it that is fairly cheap (preferrably not over $80) and would look nice to the dance (and also be able to dance in). Rent or buy? And where also. I'm also not sure what to wear as a undershirt.

Hmmm. . . Most of the homecomings I've been to have been pretty formal. If you don't want to wear a tux you could just wear a suit jacket and a nice pair of pants. You could rent but I would suggest buying, it's an investment and you'll need them for later anyway. As for an undershirt, match what your date is wearing or if you don't have a date you could always go with basic white. Oh yeah, wear a dress shirt under!

Not a swimsuit or tux. Most of my man peers might put on a few high-quality pants and a high-quality button blouse. Kind of like what you might put on to a role interview. Suit and tux is overdressing for homecoming. If you desire to make it a bit of classier you'll throw in a tie.

Well depends on your style really...

You could do a suit jacket with a cool rocker tee underneath then a nice pair of pants with dress shoes or classic CLEAN sneakers like Converse (chuck taylors) :]

Since it's semi-formal then you could do a nice button up shirt with slacks and dress shoes.

Or just rent or buy a suit. I'd say go with black though. It will go with alot more.

Hope I helped some! :]

just a suit, not a tux. I dont know what sort of clothing stores you have available, i suggest since its fall dark brown pants and a camel colored suit jacket , courdoroy would be nice, and a burnt orange shirt, or cream colored shirt. not sure if you need a tie or not, if so it could be the same color as your jacket or stripes in tan orange and brown. im not sure if you can rent ordinary suits.
