I've done that before, but it's never lasted for days. you must've hit a nerve-- similar to what happens in carpal tunnel (I believe it's the tissue that surrounds the nerves in the wrists become inflamed and pinch those nerves, causing the tingling and pain)...anyway, I'd say an anti-inflamatory drug, such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve) might help. I don't know of any natural remedies for nerve injuries.

Yes, and it hurts like hell! I'm not sure how old you are but there was a period in my early twenties where it got so bad I could hardly move my arm. It was really bad for several months and when I went to the doctor, he prescribed an anti-inflammatory (like Advil) and put my arm in a sling.

Why that was fine during the day, I still slept on my arm and would wake up (even in the middle of the night) with a cold, dead feeling arm.

As hard as it may be, you need to try to avoid sleeping on your side. It will make a big difference, but it will take time. It's not easy to adjust your normal sleep position.

I now can sleep on my side without worry!

Good luck to you...and sweet dreams!

it's called friday night arm (...really!) because people often get pissed on friday night, sleep very heavily and don't notice they are sleeping on there arm. the posh term is a neuropraxia. you've compressed your nerve, hence the tingles. they apparently regenerate at about a cm a week, or a mm a day. it may take a few weeks, but chill - you'll live. doing nothing works great. ice, heat or massage can be a great distraction technique. try not to overstretch.

I did once!
Yes, it goes away. Mine lasted about a week though.

I even went to the doctor, thinking I had something seriously wrong, lol.

I've had that. It is caused by restricted blood flow. Move or stretch the affected part until feeling and movement return.

You may actually have carpal tunnel syndrome and the sleeping position triggered it.
