I don't like the idea of paying 500 dollars on PS3 only to have PS4 come out 4 years later.

Think about hte price of the PS4. It could be even more expensive than the PS3. Most likely if the PS3 is a big enough hit you won't be seeing a PS4 for even longer. Like the Xbox 360, they could release new upgrades so most people won't get too tired of the PS3. Also If you just keep the PS2 you'll miss the leap in new graphics and games plus the bluray capabilities. Lastly if you wanted Elder scrolls Oblivion, It will only come out for the PS3 as a launch title. You will see less games coming out for the PS3.

omg what do you think playstation is? rocky? their will be no ps4. sony will put out anothe system for shure, but by a different subcompany. just like halo, they hired bungie to make 1,2,and3 and then emagin studios to make a halo rts. sonys greedy but they have an ego. they wont milk playstation for all its worth, and as for price... it will always go up on consoles and always down on pc's. thats y its more bang for you buck to play online games on a pc. shure the 360's grafics bay be twice as good, and the price is about the same, but with a pc you get all the added features.
