I don't think much of him at all! He shows that he has the integrity of a hyena and the style of a poison toad. It's plain that the husband is looking not have a wife any longer. This "husband" has made it obvious by the contempt and loathing he shows toward the "wife". If the wife has any sense she should accommodate him and kick that boorish bastard out of her life and be very fortunate to be rid of that cold hearted scum. It's good that she has the means to get away from his cruelty and she is totally within her rights to do so. The sooner the better too and with no regrets!

Either his wife was not contributing to the marriage as an equal partner, or he is one angry man that no longer wants to be married and doesn't want to take responsibility for the breakup. The anger that your question portrays is a sure sign that this marriage should be over, as if it isn't already. If I were married to this man, I would gather my self-respect and move out immediately. You both deserve to be happy, and obviously you are not happy together so move on and find happiness elsewhere.

I have defined husband as

Husband - Highly Unethical Short tempered Bad Arrogant Naughty Devil
Husband = Handsome Unique Solid Body Attractive Naughty Darling
Husband = Handsome Understanding Simple Boy And Nice Dog

Choose which one is your husband.

Is this a hypothetical question, or did that actually happen to someone? Sounds to me like the husband is either a big jerk, or has way too much pressure put on him to take care of the wife like she is royalty. Honestly, I think the first reason is a bit more likely.

The woman should ask him why he did marry her. No, this man is not a husband and she should take her money and leave. He is the one who said it is not a marriage.

How does one take care of someone that can NOT or will NOT take care of themselves?

Their fulfilled wants always exceed their capacity to pay for themselves.
Someone wanting you to take care of yourself WITHOUT harming or being a burden to others IS caring about your mental health.!!

Who wants a child to raise when it is their spouse?
.
.
What do "I" think of a husband who sez this?
He's been taking care of you how long - waiting for you to discover your responsibility for yourself - and now it has come to this conversation? I think he is honest a depending upon how long you've been in a relationship, patient. And he deserves someone that will take care of them-self. And I believe that he wants that someone to be you.
.
.
On the other hand you could follow the advice of most on this answer, run to the legal system, they'll be happy to support you in this endevour, they'll take all he's earned and give you a portion of it. but what you gonna do when that runs out?
Then you could be proud of the justice you found in how you obtained these assets - because you deserve to be taken care of. There are plenty of people who support this mentality. (They are the majority in government and the legal system, since they need the support of the gun holders (police, military, etc) to enforce the tax in which they pay themselves..... ) Momma's seem exemplary in this attitude as well. Just look at the answers..
Those of this group will NOT think badly of you for doing such. In fact they may hold you in high esteem.
.
.
I still believe that:
1. Children can't take care of themselves and need someone to do that for them untill they can do it themselves....
2....Adults can take care of themselves and the corrupt....!!!
3. Well, the corrupt among us use coersion, guns, etc. to force benefit away from those that earn honestly.

AND I also still believe that:
And he deserves someone that will take care of them-self. And I believe that he wants that someone to be you.
