I gave birth to my child 2 mos ago. Ever since then I have had this odd pain like burning and pinching feelings in my left side, it is above my hip and left upper abdominal area and sometimes moves to the lower back area. It almost feels like trapped gas at times but i dont recall having gas before or after it happens. It also feels a little sensitive when i push on the area in the front on my tummy. I asked the OB/GYN and he thinks it is just a muscle pulled or a nerve. what do u think? anything helps, it is driving me nuts!

Just a pulled muscle for 2 months? I think it's time for a second opinion!

A couple things to consider - you may have some type of hernia going on - possibly involving your diaphragm. Do you notice any relation to breathing? Perhaps when you breath heavy or twist a certain direction?

Also, though it doesn't sound like it from what you describe, I've seen hip dislocations occur during childbirth...

Just some food for thought...

you could have a kidney stone or infection ,get it checked, when you can put a hot water bottle on it,i wouldnt say it was a pulled muscle, drink plenty of fluids in the meantime
