Well to clarify, am a gal, 23, professional, the problem is i have always found it hard to make friends with gals, for some reason gals tend to keep their distance from me. but the guys flock around me all the time.
this was not much of a problem till now, now am working and i would like to hang out more with my female colleagues.
moreover the thing with guys is that they always seem to want more than just friendship, when am not interested they just drift away. Its very hurtful.
Also me hanging out with guys makes me seem like.. you know... And am a constant target of the gals' gossips..
Am a sweet gal, guys find me funny honest and loveable.. but why dont gals feel that way ? Can anybody help ? Thanks..

I have been in this situation myself many times in my life. I always got along with guys better than gals. I was also gossiped about but that was their issue not mine. I was married and happily at the time. I just had guys around me all the time as they liked me, what can I say. The gals were jealous and made up stories that I was fooling around with some of the ones who they actually wanted to hop in the sack with. It never happened with me. I enjoyed talking with them and having them around me and getting this younger girls jealous. It was fun, challenging and not my fault if the guys liked me. Yes, they did ask me out for drinks and other things, but bottom line was they knew my situation and they didn't necessarily hold it against me. Some of them stopped hanging around after a while, but the ones who really were friends stayed that way, even though it was a no go for anything else. It did hurt me for the gals to think that of me as they knew my husband and should have known better. But people are fickle, jealous, hateful, mean spirited and liars so that's life. You find your true friends in situations like this. If the guys fade out, they weren't worth it anyhow, so chin up and forge on........

To be honest most girls are just catty I know how you feel and it sucks it feels like a loose loose situation. But you can't please all the people all the time you definitely can please some people some of the time but why not just try to do what makes you happy. **** em!

well...mate you could start trying to talk to them and say that they look nice and if she smiles that is one point for you and if she dosent tell her a joke that you think is funny and if she laughs you should ask her if sometime if she would like you could hang out with all your guy freinds and she could bring some gurl freinds and you could like hang out or go catch a movie but that is my opinion you can take it or leave it .......
