I have always been a serious person; I never joke around or such. I only ask questions when I really need to know something, and I only answer questions when I can give a good, honest, serious answer. I love practical and logical answers; I don't want to waste time.

For example, I once asked a question regarding the appropriateness of throwing a book at the light fixture so that I would not have to expend energy getting up to turn it off. This is clearly very practical as I merely want to save my energy; nonetheless, I got plenty of answers about what a lazy man I am, but I found my answer--a logical one at that (I was told to hold my breath until I pass out because then the lights will also be on again when I wake up).

Another time I asked this question with the following details:

"How should I apologize to my father if I went to the pubs, brought a girl home, and he walked in on us while she sat in a comfortable chair and watched me swing around on the mounted antlers of the elk he shot a few years ago? My father walked in on us just in time to see the elk crash down from holding all of my weight.

I hurt my knee from the fall; so, should I just argue that it's his fault that I hurt myself because he did a poor job mounting the elk to the wall, and not apologize in that case?"

I received all sorts of rude answers even though I really had to know what to do in such a situation; it's a shame that hardly any of those I received consisted of more than a scolding for this. I wanted the answer, not a scolding. I did get a practical answer which commanded me not to waste my energy to apologize. I love to conserve energy as I say; it's the practical and logical thing to do. Besides, if I wanted a scolding, I would have purposely smashed my mother's finest glassware against the wall.

Yes, I take this Yahoo! Answers stuff very seriously...

Well my questions and answers are (mostly) serious so I'll go with the former. There's nothing more annoying than someone saying something worthless and pointless to a serious question just to get their 2 points.

both really I do like the odd questions that make me laugh, but I try to help if I know the answer, I am pretty blunt and to the point so some of my answers come off as rude, oh well
