We broke up like three years ago and I have had two failed relationships since and I feel like I am just faking my way through life. Is there something wrong with me?

No. When this happens we change. The relationships don't work, because we don't or won't let them. I know this is old,but it takes time and closure is difficult. Try getting rid of the pictures and stuff that remind you of her. That's tough, but necessary. You must remember why it did'nt work out. For your next relationship to work, you must not relive or treat it like the one that is hurting you. Most importantly, feel good about yourself and don't look for love everytime. Good luck!

Because nothing can compare to your first true love. It's hard after being with someone you felt was perfect to compare someone else to them. I think you are seeking the qualities of your ex in these women and when they fall short the relationships go south. Give yourself time to mourn the lost relationship and then acknowledge it is no more and try to move on from there. Is there any chance the two of you may get back together?

No nothing wrong, you just really loved her. I had a girlfriend like that. I thought I was over her and out of the blue seven years later it hit me like a bolt of lightning, I STILL LOVED HER! So I contacted her, I had to look her up, and told her but she had a new b'friend and while she said it was ok I had contacted her that she was in love with her b'friend. Then she ended up in the same town and I saw her in the street I emailed to ask if she needed anything and no it was ok. I had to accept that I was never gonna be with her. Part of me is always gonna love her and she was one of my soulmates, but he aha, no worries I am over it now. Just be strong brother and enjoy your own company until you are ready to commit to someone you can TRULY love. There is never just one fish in the sea.

No, there's nothing wrong with you. It's just hard to get over the first "serious relationship". Keep going.
