eat something surgary and then lay down for say half an hour. if there is no kicks, go to the dr just to make sure. but some days the baby will be quieter than others.

From what I remember, it is still too early to be concerned, but if its going to cause you worry or you feel that something is wrong, call your doctor or the hospital and ask. There's always someone there who can answer you questions and when it comes to pregnancy, my feeling is better safe and look like a worry wart then to have something be wrong. That being said, I am pretty sure it was like two weeks before my due date the doctor started having me count kicks.

I wouldn't worry. At 20 weeks (called the quickening period) you start feeling the baby make little movements. It is very suttle in the beginning. the baby will start moving more soon. as you progress along in your pregnancy remember that your baby sleeps about 90% of the time. I have 3 kids and am about 7 months pregnant now. This one was a little slow to get moving but she's jumping around now. Soon you'll be talking to your belly telling him or her to settle down lol so you can sleep.

It could be that his/her schedule changed and he is sleeping more while you are awake and he is awake when you are sleeping so you haven't noticed the movements. Still I would do what the person above me said: Take some sugary food and lay down. If the baby does not react after 1 hr, I would call the doctor. Hey, dont feel bad "bothering" them. That is what they get paid for!! And after all, is more healthy for the baby if you are not stressed out.
Kind of unrelated advice but: Make sure you are drinking plenty of water during your pregnancy. I went into early labor just because One day I didn't!!

If things were fine on Wednesday (and this is only 2:13 Saturday morning) he's probably ok. I hardly ever felt my son move. I was always worried that there was something awful wrong with him, and there just wasn't.

I would not get to shook up about it, they rest a lot, and may be doing a lot of moving while you are asleep and sleeping while you are up.. but if you have great concerns , talk with you Dr. about it the next trip in.. but things should be fine..

Don't worry it's to soon for the baby to be kicking anyways, you should only worry if your around 7 months and you feel no fetal movement.
To: gw. the reason she is seeking help here is because there are many people who might have had the same experience. Please keep your stupid answers to yourself.

Everything should be okay, "but" if you are concerned, I suggest for your own peace of mind, re visit your doctor, who will undoubtedly settle your anxiety......best wishes......ps...I am sure everything will be okay for you.
luckily, here in AUSTRALIA, we have a service called, nurse on call, you may have the same sort of service where you are, "hopefully".
