I'm from Detroit. What I love about the "D" is the diversity. We having a growing number of Latinos and Chaldeans. Now It's not just strictly "African-American". Also, I love the Canadian borderline. Windsor, Ontario, Canada is such a beautiful place. And the music is excellent. Having the nickname "Motown", Berry Gordy created Arethra Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, and good old Smokey Robinson. And currently home to my favorite rapper, Eminem.
Oh, I can't forget about our teams. The Red Wings (Hockey), Pistons (Basketball-Mens), Shocks (Basketball-Womens), Lions(Football) and Tigers (Baseball) all have won Championships. We're home for Little Caesars, Hungry Howies, and Domino's Pizza. Faygo and Vernors, my favorite soft drinks was also originated here. Last but not least, we're known as "Motor City" for the automotive industry's "Big Three": General Motors, Ford, and DaimlerChrysler.
There are some many things I can say good about my city. People think Detroit is a bad city. Right now, we may be going through some economic problems concerning automobiles. But everything will be back to normal hoepfully. Still, I would recommend Detroit to anyone. Our city has so much to offer. Anything you need, we have it. I was born and raised here and I love it. I would forever be part of the "313"

Columbia, Mo...we have a major university and 2 other colleges, we are very cultural and have lots of festivals and many things to do. The restaurants are diverse and the night-life is lively. We are urban, but country at the same time. Living here is quite reasonable (I rent a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house in a nice neighborhood for $800 a month) and we have some of the best schools in the nation--- I happen to teach at one of them. Yes, snow is important, I grew up in Chicago, we have just enough for atmosphere and sledding, but not so much you can't get around.

Me, Mexico City
Food is great! Just a block from my house is one of the best street stand "carnitas" places on Earth. It is clean, fantastic food, great service and my wife, son and I can eat lunch for $9.00 total ($10 with tip!
Two blocks away is a really good place for "pastor." Five blocks the best roasted chickens for $3.50 each. We are a 5 minute drive from some of Mexico's best restaurant chains: La Tablita, Fondo de Santa Clara, EL Nopalito, La Mansión.
We are only a 4 hour drive from the beaches of Acapulco on the Pacific, and only 4 hours from the beaches in Vera Cruz on the Gulf. We are a one hour drive from about 10 different "water parks" and the weather is hot or warm almost all year round!
And we have a huge Mexican family so the parties are "wicked good" and almost every couple of weeks.
( I was born in Canada so I DO miss the snow at Christmas.....)

Well, I have lived here in Nevada for 30 years. Always hated it. But am beginning to like the mild winters...
the world famous food (Las Vegas) at prices you can get in any other state..I like the saying we have here, and that is if you come to Vegas and cant find a job, you don't wanna work, so I guess I'm saying I like the economy because I keep my $, I don't lose it gambling..
I like it because we have no mosquitos, so no fear of west nile virus, and other dreaded illness'...and if I want snow, I drive 16 miles up the nearest mountain, I can come back down and not freeze my tail feathers off...lol
Watching wild horses, mountain sheep, elk, pumas..hiking in toyabile national forrest...nothing like it ..(thats up in the mountains though) Vegas is down in a valley..

I love the small town rural feel. I live now in Northern California. Where I live you know your neighbors and the snow falls nearby but not in town. There's not a lot of crime, lots of festivals and parks. Any place you want to go is a car ride away.

Bangalore-India, its an easy laid back life, a garden city, a city where things are happening and it's growing. On the personal front, I live next to a lake and walk there or in a beautiful garden not very far from my home.
