I sleep with a stuffed dog that I've had ever since I was little and love this dog more then anyone in my life including my mother or father!

No but I sleep with my Lovie, He's an old stuffed dog I've had since about kindergarten. Iv since thrown up on him dozens of times, washed hims twice that amount of times, sown him up countless times(my kids even tried sewing his eyes back on last year after my dog chewed them off) pulled him from the garbage can and shook off the coffee grounds and maggots at least three times, my dad chucked him out. I am now thirty-three so you can imagine how the poor creature looks! and i still love him so don't talk to me about regressing at least you have found your inner child again good for you!

yes...i'm in my 20s... and it was the blanket i was brought home from the hospital in when I was born. i dont know why i got so attached to it...it's weird. child development studies show that children can't distinguish between themselves and objects until like 9 months or so... so babies can freak out if you take the blanket away. i get attached to things/places/people more easily I think - not sure why - my mother was very overbearing and obsessively attached to me - so maybe it's this genetic trait for attachment or something. and also, any time my mom tried to take away the blanket from age 0-5, i freaked out like crazy so there was no weaning me off... at least i dont talk to it anymore ...well , i prefer to think of it as "her" actually...so i dont talk to her much these days... but now i feel guilty that i've been ignoring her.

A blanket when it's cold is a problem for you? I don't want to know what you do with YOUR blanket....not to mention a teddy bear.

I did up until I had my first baby, now I cuddle the kids. It's just a security and comfort thing. Nothing wrong with it.

well I still have a stuffed kitty that I sometimes sleep with... lol my real cat plays with it more tho.... I will never get rid of it tho... its the only thing I have left from my Grandmother.
