Zero of course.
1 is 1, it is mundane, it is everywhere. There is ONE moon and ONE sun. I have ONE head and ONE mouth.
But ZERO.... where do you see it. Sure you can say that i have ZERO dollars in bank account -- but would not it make more sense to say i have NO money in my account? Where exactly does Zero comes from? It does not exist in nature -- therefore it requires a philosophical leap to justify existence of ZERO -- therefore Zero is more profound.

They're both equally profound. Which is why 0's and 1's are used in computers.
0 represents nothing. You can add 0 to anything and end up with nothing different. You can multiply 0 by anything and get 0. If you're watching sports, and someone's team's score is 0, then it won't matter if they double or triple their score. They're gonna lose!
1 represents either unity or singularity. If you need to count apples as objects, but you need a way to symbolically represent a single apple, you would use 1. You can multiply anything by 1 and get the same thing.
Which is more profound... something, or nothing?
I think the universe would be very boring if there was nothing. :)
I'll pick 1, just because I like the idea of unity. But it's a tough choice. More people will pick zero because it's cool. I think the number 0 was invested AFTER the number 1, actually. It's slightly harder to comprehend.

Wow, this is a really tough choice.
Without 1s the world would be very difficult and strange but not totally impossible.
Without 0s, the world would be impossible to deal with.
In that regard, zero completes the world and therefore more profound. We just can't have something without defining nothing.

If we didn’t have zero, we couldn’t have base 10! The Roman numeral system was used for quite a while, but they didn't have a way to represent zero. When ten came around, the used the letter "X" and continued on their merry way with other numbers. Have you ever tried to add or subtract with Roman numerals? What about decimals?
. Zero is the additive identity because when you add it to anything it does not change the number’s identity. Thus, you can add zero to anything and you won't change a thing.
etc,.

The profound is somewhere in-between. It is the manifestation of the something (1)coming from nothing (0) that is profound to me.

That depends...
Zero is profound since it is nothing, yet is something since we can describe it. It represents emptiness and that is profound to me.
One is profound because it represents entirety - it is whole and contains everything. There is nothing missing from the whole.
I would say zero because it is something, yet nothing and that in itself if profound.

We have Zero and One means fuxk and be ****** as some Chinese gay people says.
in this way Zero need One so much and as the same is One need Zero too, so I can not simplely says which is more profound in this way. I like one more than zero.

Here is Euler's Equation, where we substitute x = pi and discover that:
e(pi)^i = -1
e(pi)^i +1 = 0
This is the base of the natural logarithms, multiplied by the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter, which ratio is raised to the power of the square root of negative one:
(wait for it ... )
and then to that quantity we add 1, which is Unity, and discover that we are left with nothing.
This is transcendentalism and awe at its very finest!
What does it mean, to arive at zero this way?
Perhaps then, zero is more fundemental and mysterious than 1; perhaps.

I feel one is more profound, quite simply because it is real and individual. Mathematically speaking, it can be factored by no more and no less than itself (even zero can be factored by zero times ANYTHING)....this simple numerical truth leads to its complete independence and compacted power....
Cross-applied to similar realms of consideration, the number one is perceptible and understandable to the human mind, unlike the nothingness expressed by zero which can never truly exist in a large scale. 'One' is the epitome of strength of solidarity within self and the underlying complexity of such a condition.
