I'm looking for good songs on saying goodbye. Something that is NOT pop and preferably not country. I'm moving away indefinitely and leaving behind a 2 year once relationship turned amazing friendship and looking for some songs to put together on a mix CD. Neither of us like pop and he's not too much of a fan of country. Suggestions? As many as possible would be awesome! Thanks!

Jennifer Hanson - Beautiful Goodbye
It is a county song, I think, but the lyrics are good.

Maybe not in the context you're looking for, but "Nothing Better" by the Postal Service is a good one.
