She has 4 bottle feedings every day, and at least one 2nd foods jar of veggies before noon and a bowl of cereal with a 2nd foods jar of fruit every night. Most of the time she will get another stage one size veggies in the afternoon, but sometimes we are not home for it and she does not get hungry.
How much should I try giving her every day? I'm never sure if I try to give her more if she will want it, and I am a first-time mom so I am not sure how much babies her age eat?
Is there anything I can make her myself, like pureed in the blender?
What will she be able to eat when she gets teeth? She already tries to pick up any food that lands on the high chair tray lol, even though it is too mushy!
Any personal experience or sample daily schedules will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Give her as much as she'll eat! My son is 6 1/2 months right now and he eats an enormous bowl of rice cereal with pureed fruit in it twice a day. We do a couple of liquid feedings in addition but I think this coming week we are going to start in on some more veggie based stuff instead of so much cereal. I always make his cereal with formula, too. Not necessary but I think it's good for him to get that extra stuff.
With my first son we pureed everything ourselves - we were totally broke and didn't have money to spend on baby foods so I did my own! A huge bag of carrots is like $2-3 and you can cook them, puree them and pour the puree into ice cube trays to freeze into perfect squares for easy feeding sizes. All it takes is a minute in the microwave to unthaw. We did cereal with him till about 6 months, moved to fruits then veggies then at around 8 months meats. After that everything we ate, he ate! We pureed it until he was old enough to mash things with his gums and was trying to put stuff in his mouth. Cooked peas are a good thing to start them on because they are easy to pick up and put in their mouth and they aren't so large that they are going to choke if they don't get it chewed completely.
I have a feeling I could type a lot here... here is my email address and my messenger handles - if you want to chat about it or want so me good tips/ideas let me know! Your coming up on a fun stage - watching kids eat is hilarious. Messy, but entertaining. :)

My son is the same age and we feed him almost how you are feeding your daughter. When he wakes up first thing in the morning he gets 6oz of formula, then he takes a nap about 2 hrs later. When he wakes up again he gets a small jar of food, usually a fruit and then if he gets hungry again we give him 4oz of formula. He gets a small jar of fruit for lunch, usually around 1 but sometimes he wont eat it, he just wants a bottle. At around 6pm he will eat 2 jars of 2nd foods, usually a veggie and a dessert and he eats a bottle again around 730 or so. We dont have him on set schedule like it sounds. lol.... we give him bottles in between all those times whenever he is hungry. Those are just the basic outlines we use. He also loves to eat those apple&carrot wagon wheels.
You can buy bananas and peas and carrots... a lot of different fuits and veggies, and put them in a blender along with some formula or breastmilk and puree it to a consistancy that you like. I would love to try it, but we dont have a blender!
Good luck!
- I am a new mom too :) I am always worried about what I should/shouldnt be giving him but I go with my gut instinct and what I interrpret from him.

Hi, we feed my little god-daughter similar to what you're doing. Just trust your instincts, but what I do not suggest is keeping her on a set schedule. Babies's digestive systems work differently from hours so just feed her when she cries (usually they cry because of dirty diapers and hunger) and watch for the little signals babies give when they are full. (our baby stops sucking the bottle and turns her head).... 7 1/2 months is old enough to be able to tell....
best of luck!

It's important to remember that food for the first year is for practice, not nutrition. Breastmilk or formula is supposed to be the main food source and make up 75% of their calories. Offer milk first and then top them up with solid food if they still want more.
Here's a website that I found very interesting and helped me a lot.

hi, my infant LOVVVEEESSS the little rice crackers from Wal-Mart. you will discover them with the infant meals and are available in a sprint orange and white field. they do no longer make numerous a large number and the cracker itself is straight forward to bite and dissolves with the drool! :-) Smashed up bananas with slightly milk is on his favorites record, too. I basically those days tried cheerios and he loves those (yet he already has some the teeth). in case you're no longer against letting your infant devour a cheeto puff (cheese puffs), those are hassle-free for them to bite on and that they, too, dissolve hassle-free. yet they have an inclination to be slightly messier. Mash Potatoes and gravy, overcooked noodles and rice and the rest pureed. My pediatrician gave me the ok for table meals while he grew to become 9 months previous, which replaced into basically final week. (nonetheless no honey, peanuts, peanut butter, acidy meals, tomato sauces, corn, eggwhites, citric culmination) shop the digital camera reachable, nonetheless. once you introduce him to a majority of those new meals the faces he makes could be priceless!!
