My immediate boss fired me recently, but the owners of the company wld like to discuss with me when they're back in town in a week's time.

In my drunken stupor, I sent 2 emails to one of the bosses. One of them claimed that I'm sick of stupidity in human race, etc.... bottomline, it read like its from a sick arrogant b*tch.

I woke up and wish I was dead. I got no reply from him and I think I'm done for. Its so damn embarassing coz all the while I project a professional image.

Is there a fast and easy way to get over life's embarassing moments? If you were my boss, what are you thinking now? Geez, think I knew the answer.

Advice to all, drinks and emails don't mix.

Usually when you use alcohol you start telling the truth. Your emails are the way you feel so if that is the case, stick with whatever opinion you put in the Email and don't back off. If the owners still want to talk to you you are probably a very important asset to them so stick to your guns.
Good Luck

No offense, but if I were your boss I would likely find your e-mail validation for firing you. This letter will probably also go in your personnel file. I would consider writing another letter, requesting it go in your file and be gracious, take responsibility, and thank them for the opportunity to work at the office and apologize. Keep it short. Furthermore, the letter could be used against you if you attempt to apply for unemployment. Clear your conscience and then move on, lesson learned. It sounds like your time is over at this place.

Go into salvage mode. Apologize and say you let the stress get to you and you've learned from the experience. It's probably too late, but this could be the most important email of your life.
