The designations 'italicum' and 'angustifolium' indicate that they are different varieties of the same plant, some would argue that they are the same plant merely growing in different geographic locales. 'Italicum' has whiter leaves than does the 'angustifolium'. An angustifoliate is a plant with narrow leaves.
