Western music? Marty Robbins did a lot of Gun Fighter Ballads, and then theirs Buck Owens with the Bakersfield sound.
most C&W comes from the east, bluegrass, and so forth. THAT music was brought here from england and predominitly Ireland.
Father of Western music , tough question. Sorry ,I would like to see the true answer though.
