Well first of all I work at target and Ive been working at the target pharmacy cashiering. and now im interested in being a pharmacy tech. So how do you pharmacy techs like your job? Do you think I should just go to my local community college and take the pharmacy tech program there because at our target pharmacy they are filled and cant hire anymore people right now because of hours.

My girlfriend has been a pharmacy tech at Walgreens for 17 years and she really likes it. However, your hours will usually need to be flexible initially. Yes. Community college is an excellent idea. Some pharmacies will train you. Maybe call some drug stores in your area to find out if that's still the case.
Or ask someone at the college.

Getting any sort of formal education in pharmacy tech is pointless because it is not needed. Most places do on site training. If you desire to become certified, buying a review book for most is enough. The demand for pharmacy tech depends on technology. If technology on filling prescription bottles becomes better, the first to get fired will always be a pharmacy tech. If you like pharmacy, try and become a pharmacist.

From experience u don't need to go to school for it, it helps by knowing someone who works n Pharmacy, plus since u do cashering n Pharmacy, get the Pharm Techs to teach u more, if ur interested, also companies will train u, so.... going to school would b a waste of time and money, unless u go to school to b a Pharmisct then its not a waste of time nor money... When I was a Pharm Tech I was doing cashering and everything dealing with Pharmacy, we didnt have clerks, such as urself working for us....
