I wouldn't say that. Some men like marriage to "think" that they can keep the woman on "lockdown", but that goes both ways. The issue isn't marriage, it's the vows of commitment. Some men can't deal with the commitment of being with one woman, and you know there's obviously some infidelity. Men don't like to "miss out" on anything, and being tied down to one woman is in some minds a missing out on a piece of booty somewhere else. But nothing is worse than a divorce, They hate the fact of paying alimony, child support, AND with a woman being with another man. But if there's a prenupt, then they might not think like that.

I think most men want to be married. What they don't like is the total commitment part. Men enjoy knowing that they have a wife and family at home to go to after they have finished doing whatever it is they enjoy doing that does not include the wife. Men don' t like to feel that they have to be committed to one woman. On the average all men want more than one woman in their lives. Just like a woman, if a man felt that he could have his pick of a woman in his old age he would probably stay single until tha t time. Everyone wants someone around when they get old. I really feel that all women want chidren, and if we could do it and not feel societal shame for having children out of wedlock, we would.

We don't hate the idea of marriage. We do hate what marriage has become legally, and we hate the fact that there's no place we can go to find marriage on better terms.

I think some men are afraid of marriage, but don't think they hate it. Men seem to like to have someone to cook and clean and do all the things their mothers did for them.

Nope... but we HATE being pressured into it. If you want him to marry you, let him come to that decision on his own.
