I have a report due for school, and what it involves is information about what the rights of nurses are. I've so far found nothing but information on the rights of patients.

Also, for extra credit I need to explain what the rights of nurses are in a forensic psychiatric setting. For example, if a client there is harassing a nurse, can she sue them?

Any information or links would be appreciated.

I worked as a nurse for years. The hospital administrations took great pains to keep the nurses from finding out what their rights are. Most of the time, they were successful in doing this.
Nurses' salaries are the biggest expense in a hospital.
The hospital administrations do not like to see nurses stay long enough to get a pay raise.
Then everybody wonders why there is a shortage of nurses.

Contact your nearest EEO office to see if nurses really do have rights.

what do you mean, rights of nurses? there is the union to get them equal pay, etc, ... i don't really think they have a codified set of rights.

also, if they are harassed of course they can sue! that is the right of any person on US soil. (and when it comes down to it, thing on us soil too because in the case of a dog, i.e., the owner can sue for psychological damages). hope this helps!
