Leatherface isn't part of their real family, his mother died when she gave birth to him. Were they not even normal in the first place? I am sure there are other stuff they can eat in that town instead of killing and eating the human's remains. I wonder if Leatherface influenced them to do that...who gets the story?

and I herd it the events were based on a true story o something but I dont belive that

In the original movie they were cannibals. In the remakes I guess inbreeding takes its toll. But Ed Gein did not kill people with a chainsaw. I saw this on the history channel. It is loosely based on an actual event. There is also a movie about ed gein.

because the story was loosly based on a person named eddie gein... he did pretty much the same thing as leather face.. and plus making them cannibals makes the movie more interesting. lol... n no its not based on a true story its inspired by true events... (person who left the 1st answer)
