To me, GTA III because it was the first 3D GTA and when it came out it was new and fresh so I'll remember it as the best, plus I found something in the game that turned into a big fad for awhile, so that was cool, heh. But GTA:SA is what I'd consider the best all around GTA due to the whole size/scope of the game but there's so much more stuff that could have been done that unfortunately wasn't. The game really needed more missions that made better use of the environment, especially the desert and country areas, SF could have used more fun things to do also plus the radio just seemed like it needed more, especially the two rock stations and WCTR. GTA:Vice City was alright but it was a flat, boring place to drive around and explore, it did however, have the best quality for quanity of music.
But overall, how I'd rank them it'd be:
GTA3
GTA:SA (Though technically the best game).
GTA:VC
GTA:LCS (Which still was really fun, going back to Liberty City with new things to do).

In my opinion, it would have to be Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. For more information on the game itself, go to http://www.rockstargames.com/sanandreas/. It gives a brief summary of what the game is about, has some good screenshots and some clips. THere is also a soundtrack player which allows you to play music from the game.

GTA 3; I just found it more fun (and far less confusing than Vice City)

Pesonally, i liked San Andreas the most. It had the best missions, the ability to increase things like strength, stamina, and fat, the ability to customize your character, the largest selection of vehicles, and many more great things.

Personally, I like Vice City, but then again I was a kid back in the '80s, so it might just be nostalgia value.

Well i really liked gta san anderas cause u can like make ur guy and stuff and theirs ultyplayer-even tough it kinda suks- but i like it tough!

No, it's not GTA, but it's made by the same people (Rockstar), and it will be the best. :)
