Too many to list! Favourite songs I enjoyed FROM the 1980s (till now!) are those from Eagles, Ah-Ha, Abba, Bee Gees, Scorpions (Give me an Angel), Madonna (I think she started singing in the early to mid 1980s) including all modern-day singers! Guess some my favourites are more like 1970s oldies! :)

It has got to be Safety Dance by Men Without Hats. So thoroughly 80's-wierd! And that song Pop Goes the World is quite the confection too.

I'm a country fan, so I'm going to list my favorite band, some of their history & my fave songs from this band,as well as their amazing achievements. Here is my chosen one:
ALABAMA--Formed in 1969 by cousins Randt Owen, Teddy Gentry & Jeff Cook & then went by the name Young Country. In 1972 they changed their name to Wild Counyry with drummer Bennet Vartanian joining & leaving shortly after to be replaced by Rick Scott who also left. Then in 1977 they changed their name to ALABAMA after their home state & as they say the rest is history. In 1979 they finally got a new addition to their band--Mark Herndon who has remained with them ever since.
Some of their achievements worth mentioning here are as follows;
21--Gold, Platium & Multi Platium.
42--Singles.
150 Industry Awards. Here are a list of some of them:
8--CMA'S{Country Music Award's}
2--Grammy's.
2--People's Choice Awards.
They have been named Artist of the decade for 1980.
In 1999 they are 1st & only band so far to be honored as Country Group Of The Century .
They have been given a Star on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame for their contribution to the music industry.
Some of their other awards are:
Award Of Merit.
Acadamy Of Country Music Pioneer Award.
International Quality Of Life Award.
My fave songs of their's is all of them, but here is a list of the top 9 that I think needs mentioning,as these are some that they won a few awards for:{In no particular order.}
Roll On-- 1984.
If you're playing in Texas--1984.
40 hour week--1985.
Song of the South--1988.{ A fave of mine as well as this one--High Cotton--1989.}
Pass it on Down--1990.
Angels Among Us--1994.
God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You.--1999.
One last addittion.--Mountain Music--1982. A crowd pleaser at concerts, which showcased the group as cheerfull Soutgern Rockers as well.
Over & Out....REBELCAT.**** Hope some of you enjoy Country Music as much as I do.++++
