The Berlin wall separated a single nation and people who both wanted to rejoin. A totally different situation. The new wall is to protect our nation. If the Mexicans want to come here they need to go through the proper channels. No one says they can't come to the US. What does our democracy have to do with the Mexicans? Why don't they stay home and try to better their own country?

Here's an interesting factoid. The Great Wall of China is around 5000 kilometers long (3100 miles). It is built of stone, 15 feet thick, 20-30 feet high. But it didn't stop the Mongols or the Manchurians from invading China.
So a barbed-wire fence is going to stop illegal immigration? GIve me a break. This entire $1.2billion project is just another windfall for one of Bush's buddies.

BECAUSE.... America's democracy is being INVADED by CRIMINALS.... all illegal aliens are criminals... and so are those who support illegal aliens in any way, shape, or form.... we have a president and congress that aid and abet these illegal aliens/criminals in their criminal enterprise... just plain treason and corruption.... it can be called nothing else...
