Offer some gum or mint, then said to the person can i be honest with you ,but please don't take it offensive, because i only mean you good, you need to work on your hygiene because your breath kinda smells and i want to tell you so others doesn't have to talk about you and your breath, because that's more embarrassing when people criticize and talks behind your back so i thought telling you would solve this problem, peace no offense.

I would come out and honestly tell them, just pull them aside so you don't say it in front of anyone else, and just say 'hey, you know that your breath has been smelling a bit lately?' You shouldn't need to try and lie about something like that to spare their feelings, I know that I would prefer honesty if I was the person with stinky breath.
There is no excuse for lack of hygiene people!

I guess the nice way of dealing with it would be to offer the person some mints... Or buy the person some kit with dental care, mouthwash, toothbtush, floss, toothpaste, wrapped in a beautiful gift box with a bow for a special accasion. Then you wouldn't have to say anything ! You could buy yourself one too, so you can tell the person you had a deal... Two for one ! LOL
Good luck

Offer them a mint. If they say no thanks, tell them how brave they are because you always worry that when someone offers you a mint, it's because your breath is bad and so you never turn down a mint when it's offered. If that still doesn't work, offer it again a little later. If you don't have a mint, don't say anything because there is nothing they can do about it anyway.

Always have a box of chocolate mints, ev'rytime you're with them give them a lil' chocolate. There really isn't a nice way, I've tried. Turns out like the apocaplypse of a life time.

theres usually never really a good way, besides honesty is better than hiding it from that person and let some other jerk tell them and hurt them so its beter for a friend or someone he/she trusts to tell her nicely like dont take this the wrong way but your motughs a bit funky, or many many other ways which i cant really think of right now..but u get the idea

i have clients that come in and fill out paperwork right next to me and when some people turn to ask u a question and they are right in front of u and their breath stinks. so this the trick i use i dig in my purse and pull out a piece of gum for myself and kindly ask the customer if they would like one and usually they say yes

Pull a package of gum out of your pocket, take a piece and ask them if they'd like a piece of gum too. Works everytime.
